Argosy was thrilled to show Lindy’s ground-breaking products to their customers at MPTS

Argosy, a leading international supplier of Broadcast infrastructure products, recently announced its partnership with Lindy Electronics, a renowned IT and AV connectivity products and solutions company. As an authorized distributor of Lindy’s portfolio, Argosy unveiled a new range of signal splitters, converters, and extender devices targeted at the broadcast industry.

During the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) held on 10th-11th May 2023 at London Olympia, Stand C35, Argosy showcased Lindy’s cutting-edge USB, HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort converter cables, along with Category 6 data patch cabling, fiber patch cables, intelligent power distribution units, and KVM solutions.

Chris Smeeton, director at Argosy, expressed his confidence in Lindy’s reputation for providing top-quality products and reliable services across various industries. With Lindy’s 90-year history and its ability to adapt to changing markets, Smeeton emphasized the perfect fit between Lindy’s innovations and the broadcast industry. Argosy was thrilled to offer Lindy’s groundbreaking products to its customers.

James Gray, business development executive at Lindy Electronics, echoed Smeeton’s sentiments and emphasized the partnership’s potential to make the Lindy brand an integral part of the broadcast industry’s technical infrastructure specifications. Gray expressed satisfaction in having Argosy, a leading distributor in the field, represent Lindy and introduce their proven solutions to environments where seamless connectivity is critical.

In addition to Lindy’s products, Argosy’s MPTS exhibit also included Canare’s pro audio and video cables, including cables for speakers, microphones, coaxial connections, Ethernet, and more. Canare showcased their 4K Ultra HD SDI cables and 12G products.

Argosy also featured KVM technology from Guntermann & Drunck (G&D), which offers cost-saving benefits such as reducing redundant hardware, consolidating desk space, and improving performance by minimizing cabling and infrastructure. G&D’s KVM extenders and switches enable users to operate hundreds of computers from a single workstation or extend computer access up to 10,000 meters.

Visitors at MPTS had the opportunity to explore a range of Belden cables, Neutrik connectors, Argosy SMPTE cable assemblies, and Argosy equipment racks, all specifically designed for the broadcast industry.

At the event, MPTS attendees were invited to participate in Argosy’s TOP WIRE competition, which targeted engineers and wiremen within the broadcast industry. The competition challenged participants to terminate a cable using Simply45 crimp tool solutions within the two-day show duration. The individual who completed the task in the shortest time won an Apple Watch SE. Interested participants were encouraged to visit Argosy’s MPTS stand C35 for more details.
