• Ateme wins in the Best in Digital and Best in Linear Distribution categories
  • Ateme leverages 5G MEC architecture to achieve low-latency DAI
  • Ateme’s Video Headend Pack delivers greater efficiency for any use case

Ateme, a global leader in video compression, delivery, and streaming solutions with innovation at its core, has won the esteemed BroadcastPro ME Manufacturer Awards in the categories of Best in Digital Distribution and Best in Linear Distribution for its Low-latency DAI Solution and its Video Headend Pack. The awards ceremony took place Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Conrad Dubai during CABSAT.

The BroadcastPro ME Manufacturer Awards recognize media leaders for their cutting-edge products and solutions that make a substantial contribution to the day-in, day-out operations of the broadcast industry.

Ateme’s 5G Media Streaming solution leverages the 5G MEC architecture to achieve low-latency DAI, allowing streaming service providers to offer targeted advertising — including for popular, high-value sports content requiring low latency — opening up opportunities for greater monetization.

Ateme’s Video Headend Pack brings all the different functions required for the converged headend – encoders and transcoders, statmux, packagers, and interface managers – together in a single appliance. As a result, it enables services requiring less hardware, power consumption, and connectivity, and reduces the complexity of operations. Based on Ateme’s award-winning, cloud-native compression and statmux tools, Ateme’s Video Headend Pack can also include third-party software with compatible APIs.

“I would like to thank all those who voted for us,” said Ahmed Swidan, Ateme’s Director of Personalized TV Solutions. “Ateme’s low-latency DAI solution helps streaming service providers tap into the monetization potential of sports content, opening up new avenues for growing profitability.”

“We are honored to be chosen as the winner of the BroadcastPro ME Manufacturers Awards,” said Julien Mandel, Ateme’s Solution Marketing Senior Director, Contribution and Distribution. “Ateme’s Video Headend Pack helps broadcasters simplify operations and reduce costs, while also becoming more sustainable. We are excited to be contributing to making video convergence more accessible.”
