Dubai, UAE, 11 May 2023: Broadcast Solutions, one of the largest media systems integration groups with proven success across the Middle East and North Africa as well as Europe, will be showcasing some of the latest technology at CABSAT 2023 (stand S1-B40, Dubai World Trade Centre, 16 – 18 May). The presentations will build on the skills of Broadcast Solutions in building complete mobile and fixed facilities, as well as demonstrating products from some of the company’s key partners.

Demonstrations will include Broadcast Solutions’ own hi human interface builder, audio products from DHD.audio, and the innovative AI products from Newsbridge. CABSAT will also feature the systems integration work of Thum + Mahr, acquired by Broadcast Solutions in 2022.

Broadcast Solutions has been committed to the MENA region for 20 years, and with a regional office in Dubai established in 2011. With project engineering and continuing support hosted locally, the company has been very successful in delivering a broad range of projects, including outside broadcast trucks to Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt and UAE among others. It has recently delivered two SNG units to Dubai Media Incorporated, the official government organisation. Broadcast Solutions also provides integration and implementation of fixed facilities, such as for news and archives.

News broadcasters will be particularly interested in the MXT-1 from Newsbridge, first unveiled last month at NAB. This brings unprecedented artificial intelligence processing power to the analysis of video footage, generating human language descriptions of scenes at a remarkable speed: the scalable infrastructure can scan as much as 500 hours of video a minute.

Another partner company featured on the Broadcast Solutions stand is DHD.audio, which develops high-performance audio consoles and processing based on an IP core. Using IP processing results in compact infrastructures, making the consoles ideal for achieving extended facilities within the restrictions of an outside broadcast truck.

As media systems become more feature-rich, and the pressures on time and productivity ever greater, users need an intuitive, reliable and comprehensive monitoring and control layer. Broadcast Solutions has developed its own answer to this challenge: hi human interface. The next generation in broadcast control systems, it is designed to be as simple to use as a smartphone, while sitting on a distributed architecture for maximum resilience.

“Our long experience in the region means we completely understand the needs of broadcasters and media enterprises in the Middle East and North Africa,” said Munzer Rushdi, General Manager Broadcast Solutions Middle East. “We understand that our customers are keen to be more creative, more productive and more effective, which is why we invest in researching all the latest technologies as they become available.

“Our position in the industry means that we can form strategic partnerships with leading vendors like Newsbridge and DHD.audio,” he continued. “It means that we can provide technically advanced solutions combined with our strong local support. The result is that our MENA customers benefit from cutting edge solutions, developed, delivered and supported by the team they know, based in the heart of the region.”
Broadcast Solutions will be located on stand S1-B40 at CABSAT 2023.
