August 26, 2024 – Leuven, Belgium – Cuez by TinkerList launches Storiez, a newsroom solution that reimagines how newsrooms operate in the digital age. Storiez is a story- and publish-point-centric platform that allows journalists to create, manage, and distribute news across multiple channels easily.

Over the past years, Cuez by TinkerList has been working on Storiez in collaboration with universities, production companies, and broadcasters. This consortium identified a key issue: many existing newsroom computer systems (NRCS) are outdated in both user interface and experience. Oftentimes, these systems are on-premise and not adapted to the changing landscape of 21st-century media-making.

Cuez wanted to build a tool that is cloud-first and that is equipped for the new media reality, where journalists create content for a multitude of channels: social media, website, TV, radio… all at the same time. That’s why Cuez created Storiez.

Storiez adheres to the principles of modular journalism: every journalist should create content in the channel they feel most comfortable with (Instagram, TV Scripts, Website, etc.). Whatever content they create there, can automatically be deconstructed into building blocks (titles, graphics, text) that can be re-used by different teams. No more endless filling out of forms, rather, focusing on very intuitive story-building.

With Storiez, journalists can now collaborate on news pieces and reuse content — all within a cloud-based environment of a single platform.

Storiez also has AI-driven features that can help journalists automate mundane tasks, like headline generation and content distribution, allowing them to focus on storytelling rather than technicalities.

Of course, information can come from any source: newsfeeds, socials, RSS, mailboxes, MAM/PAM, edit suites, … and can be pushed to any source (socials, TV, Radio, website, …).

Storiez is linked to the full Cuez product suite, so it will connect perfectly to Cuez (our cloud-based rundown) and Automator (our Automation system that connects to any device in the gallery using API).
