iWedia S.A, world-class provider of software solutions for connected TV devices, today announced the appointment of experienced sales leader Go Murata as Director of Business Development and Key Accounts in Japan.

Go Murata is an accomplished sales leader, with a technical background, who brings 18 years of experience to his new role. He has a proven track record of achieving high revenue targets, identifying and developing commercial opportunities and leading major technology company accounts; both as a sales director and technical account manager. Go Murata will consolidate iWedia’s APAC team and focus on expanding the company’s reach in the region.

Go Murata joins iWedia from Vewd Software (formerly Opera Software ASA),which is known for the Opera family of web browsers, where he was Sales Director responsible for leading the Sony, Panasonic and Sharp accounts and developing new commercial opportunities in the consumer electronics space – primarily TV, STB, video gaming and automotive. He started his career as a quality assurance engineer in 2005.
