At this year’s NAB, Marshall Electronics introduces a comprehensive and scalable production solution specifically designed for the House of Worship sector. Combining precision imaging, robust control, and versatile signal management, Marshall’s ecosystem supports churches and faith-based venues in delivering high-quality, multi-platform live broadcasts with ease and reliability.
The solution centers around a powerful camera lineup. Leading the way is the CV730-BHN, a 30X UHD60 PTZ camera featuring a 1/1.8” 9.2MP sensor. It supports 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI2.0, and NDI|HX3 or IP streaming (SRT/HEVC), making it adaptable for a range of workflows—from traditional broadcast to fully IP-based infrastructures. The camera’s Smart Auto-Focus AI system ensures accurate tracking of faces and movement, ideal for capturing dynamic worship environments. A wide 340° pan and 120° tilt range, with user-selectable speed transitions, provides full coverage of the sanctuary.
The CV630-BI offers similar benefits in a compact form factor with 25X optical zoom and support for H.265/H.264 over IP. With simultaneous 3G-SDI, HDMI, and IP outputs, it is well-suited for hybrid workflows. Streaming protocols include RTSP, RTMP, and SRT, providing straightforward integration with popular platforms like YouTube and Facebook Live.
For fixed-angle or zoom-critical applications, the CV355-27X-IP block camera delivers sharp imaging via an 8.5MP sensor and 27X optical zoom (5.5–150mm). It supports simultaneous 3G-SDI and HEVC IP output, giving users flexible options for both local and remote broadcast delivery.
At the core of system control is the VS-PTC-300, Marshall’s advanced PTZ camera controller. This unit supports VISCA, ONVIF, Pelco-D/P, and NDI protocols, and can operate over IP, RS232/RS422, or USB. Designed for efficient multi-camera workflows, it offers real-time camera preview via a built-in 3” LCD screen with RTSP and NDI monitoring, making it ideal for volunteer-led production teams.
Signal routing and format management are handled by the VSW-2000, a compact 4×1 SDI switcher. Supporting 3G, HD, and SD-SDI inputs, the VSW-2000 offers seamless switching, re-clocking, and equalization. Its desktop and rack-mountable design, paired with front panel, RS-232, or IR remote control, ensures flexibility for a variety of production environments.
Completing the signal path, the VAC-12SH SDI-to-HDMI converter allows for easy monitoring and display integration. With loop-through SDI and auto format detection, it supports a wide range of resolutions from 720p to 1080p60, along with HDMI Deep Color output.
What makes Marshall’s offering particularly relevant for the worship sector is the system’s balance of professional-grade performance with ease of use. Many houses of worship rely on volunteer teams to run live productions. Marshall’s intuitive control interfaces, reliable connectivity, and robust feature sets reduce the learning curve and ensure consistent results.
The system also offers the flexibility to scale. Whether a venue is transitioning from analog workflows to IP or aiming to expand its digital footprint with multi-camera streaming, the Marshall ecosystem supports both approaches without requiring significant infrastructure overhauls.
For houses of worship seeking to upgrade their broadcast capabilities—whether for in-house IMAG, online streaming, or hybrid services—Marshall’s new solution provides a well-integrated, high-performance package built with the real-world needs of faith-based media teams in mind.
