NBC has requested a pilot for Quantum Leap. According to the logline, “It’s been thirty years since Dr. Sam Beckett entered the Quantum Leap accelerator. And vanished.” “A new team has been formed to restart the project, in the hope of unraveling the mysteries surrounding the machine and the man who made it.

Quantum Leap aired for five seasons on NBC. It aired from 1989 to 1989. Scott Bakula played Beckett.

Executive producers are Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt. Don Bellisario and Deborah Pratt also serve as executive producers. The pilot is produced by Universal Television.

NBC also ordered a pilot to be used in the Berlanti Productions project Find. It is about a public relations specialist who was once reported missing and makes sure that there is always someone looking for missing persons. “But unbeknownst, this everyday hero is concealing a chilling secret,” said NBC.

Lets hope it lives up to the cult status of the original.
