Powerful LCD projectors are the smallest, lightest and brightest in their class, boasting an environmentally-friendly design that delivers 25% greater energy efficiency.
Bracknell, UK. 4th February 2025 – Panasonic Connect Europe has announced its PT-VMZ82 Series of powerful LCD projectors at ISE 2025, delivering sharp, vibrant, sustainable projection, even in well-lit spaces, in corporate business, education, and entertainment spaces. The VMZ82 Series, featuring the VMZ82 (8,000lm), VMZ72 (7,200lm), and VMZ62 (6,500lm[1]), are the smallest and lightest in their class[2], offering superior brightness and image quality whilst using 25% less energy[3] than current Panasonic LCD projectors.
Sustainable and Efficient Projection
Sustainability is at the heart of the VMZ82 Series’ design; with the projector bodies made from up to 59% recycled resins[4] and is shipped in a box surrounded by recyclable cardboard cushioning. Furthermore, VMZ82 Series’ laser light source and ECO Filter operate maintenance-free for up to 20,000 hours, significantly reducing costs, while Auto Power On reduces energy usage when idle.
Compact body enhances installation
In interactive and collaborative workspaces, space is often at a premium. Utilising the same form factor as the previous VMZ71 Series, the VMZ82 Series increases installation flexibility for an 8,000lm LCD projector, adapting seamlessly and unobtrusively to any environment.
The VMZ82 Series can project a 100-inch image from anywhere between 2.35m to 3.80m, and offers a 1.6x optical zoom with a 1.09-1.77:1 throw ratio, enhancing flexibility across different settings. This is complemented by a Digital Zoom Extender that makes installation even more flexible.
Panasonic’s Angle Monitor technology makes set-up easier. This visualises the projector angle and tilt, necessitating only one technician to adjust the projector angle via the on-screen GUI, saving both resources and set-up time. The VMZ82 Series features wide-range lens shift, Digital Zoom Extender, and Geometric Adjustment functionality, for positioning the projector anywhere it’s needed – especially in high, difficult-to-reach areas.
Class-leading projection in bright spaces
The VMZ82 Series features Daylight View Basic functionality, optimising image quality based on ambient lighting. This makes it ideal for well-lit classrooms, meeting rooms, or entertainment spaces.
“Panasonic constantly strives to deliver innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of today’s modern environments,” explained Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager for Visual System Solutions at Panasonic Connect Europe. “The VMZ82 prioritises performance, resource efficiency and sustainability, empowering users in corporate business, education and the entertainment sectors to achieve visually engaging experiences, no matter the set-up requirements or budgets.”
The VMZ82 Series is available from CY2025 Q2.
