MELVILLE, N.Y.  Oct. 19, 2023 — Chyron today announced that the company will highlight recent innovation across news, sports, and cloud production at 2023 NAB Show New York, Oct. 24-26 at the Javits Center (Booth 443). Sharing products across the Chyron portfolio, the company will feature advances in data visualization, new AI-enabled task automatization, and live production workflows leveraging the cloud — all designed to empower users in pursuing both their technical goals and storytelling vision.

“Through ongoing product and feature development, we’re working to deliver functionality that supports users today and facilitates their shift toward ever more efficient, flexible, and scalable operations going forward,” said Mathieu Yerle, senior vice president of strategy. “One example, and an exciting element of the Chyron booth at NAB Show New York, is the wholistic CAMIO workflow, which delivers on the promise of total newsroom-to-air efficiency by driving not only CG graphics but also video walls, virtual sets, augmented reality graphics, weather segments, and more in a streamlined and harmonious workflow.”

Visitors to the Chyron booth at 2023 NAB Show New York will also find information about live production workflows for sports, as well as the company’s cloud-native all-in-one production powerhouse, Chyron LIVE.

News Production Workflows

Chyron’s dedication to cloud production is evident in the latest version of CAMIO, the company’s MOS-driven graphics asset management platform, which now integrates with Seven Mountains DiNA, a fully cloud-based NRCS with an on-premises gateway. As always, Chyron strives to ensure that CAMIO is NRCS agnostic, integrating with all major NRCS including Avid iNews, AP ENPS, Dalet Galaxy, Octopus Newsroom and others. CAMIO also integrates with leading NLE, offering consistent branding and efficiency across live news and post-production.

Sports Production Workflows

Visitors to the Chyron booth can also learn more about the robust new data-management capabilities within the recently released PRIME 4.8, accelerating graphics design, data integration and playout. In addition to connecting specific datum to specific graphics fields, entire data tables may be integrated with graphics packages, or for the most robust data pipelines, entire JSON data sources may be parsed and made available to graphics directly within PRIME.

Rounding out Chyron’s sports portfolio, new features within PAINT enhance illustrated replay and add depth to live commentary. With multi-angle telestration, a presenter can telestrate the video from one camera, and the telestration can appear automatically on video from other cameras showing the same event. Broadening capabilities for how PAINT content is presented to audiences, users can now easily select a pre-configured “skin” that determines which aspects of the UI are visible to the viewer and how they are arranged. Other PAINT updates include advanced analysis tools inspired by requests from top-tier analysts, new features that make this popular telestration system even easier to use, and a broader array of object and positional indicators that help to increase audience comprehension and engagement.

All-in-One Cloud-Native Live Production

Chyron LIVE is a cloud-native, all-in-one live production application that includes broadcast-grade animated graphics, multi-camera vision mixing, clip playback, illustrated sports replay, and audio control, all from a single UI. New security features in Chyron LIVE 1.5  such as protocol encryption and data backup reflect Chyron’s commitment to cloud-native development while also addressing the latest security requirements. Other new features elevate Chyron LIVE’s handling of clips, intuitive audio commentary through the LIVE UI and a more scalable and responsive user experience — extending users’ ability to work from a desktop, laptop, or tablet.
