Leipzig, 24 January 2024 – DHD audio reports a successful Hamburg Open 2024 exhibition, held from Wednesday 17 through Thursday 18 January at the Hamburg Messe & Congress Centre. Co-exhibiting with AVT Audio Video Technologies, DHD promoted its entire portfolio of audio production solutions including the top-of-the-range RX2 modular mixing console.

“Hamburg Open continues to attract interest from a wide section of the creative media industry including the film, television, radio and music recording sectors,” says Dipl.-Ing. Chris Settele, DHD International Sales. “The show was well attended with a good level of visitor traffic on both days. Centrepiece of the DHD exhibit was the RX2 which we demonstrated as a versatile audio production system for modern workflows in on-air studios, master control rooms and OB vehicles. A modular system, it provides the freedom to build mixing desks ranging from compact versions with 6 or 12 faders up to large control-room consoles with 96 faders.

“Two different RX2 modules are available: a central module and a fader module, each equipped with a high brightness 10.1 inch touchscreen for channel settings and central control. Signal processing is performed in a 1 U core accommodating supporting audio matrix of up to 96 stereo faders. Operators can choose between Dante or AES67/ RAVENNA/ST2110 audio over IP with optional ST2022-7 hitless merge redundancy. There are also modules available for interfacing analogue and digital audio, MADI and GPIO. All control modules and multitouch displays use Ethernet to communicate with the core module.

“Trade shows continue to be very valuable for us by giving existing and potential customers the opportunity to discuss their evolving requirements face to face,” adds Marc Herrmann, DHD Managing Director. “Hamburg Open is usefully placed for the many media organisations in northern Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. My thanks to Chris and the AVT team for promoting our latest technologies at the show.”
