Soho stalwart Julian Day has joined FooEngine as Business Development Director after 13 years at ZOO Digital. Julian has been at the heart of the London post production scene for over 35 years. Firstly as a film editor in commercials and TV, then running a successful post facility before building ZOO Digital’s London operation.
FooEngine and ZOO Digital have worked very closely and successfully together for several years, so with the recent realignment of core services at ZOO, the move is a natural progression for Day.
The access services for commercials business that he built up at ZOO will, over time, move with Julian to FooEngine. ZOO & FooEngine will continue to work together on commercials projects and will ensure a smooth transition for existing ZOO advertising clients to Foo’s innovative automated and AI-driven workflows. These advancements include specialised features like Audio Description, among other ground-breaking developments in the industry.
FooEngine is headed up by two adland legends – Ben Smith and Arran Corbett, So ZOO ad clients couldn’t be in safer hands.
FooEngine is now a prominent player in long-form content delivery and Julian will be looking to further expand this sector, capitalising on FooEngine’s commitment to delivering unparalleled service and expertise to its clients.
“I’m very happy to be joining FooEngine,” said Day. “The talent in the company is awe-inspiring and the opportunities in both long and short form are extremely exciting. I’m looking forward to continuing and developing relationships with my existing clients and our new ones”.
Ben Smith, CEO of FooEngine warmly welcomed Julian to the team. “Julian and I have known each other almost all our working lives and his passion for this industry is well known. It is lovely to have him come on board here at FOO and add his skills to ours as we continue to grow.”
FooEngine and ZOO Digital intend to continue their long-standing and successful relationship – playing to their strengths to benefit all clients, existing and new.
