arkona Continues to Grow Presence in Asia Pacific with Product Demos and Technology Session During Australia’s METexpo 2024

Demonstrations of Company’s BLADE//runner to be conducted on Magna Stand alongside

manifold CLOUD from manifold technologies

Sydney, Australia – 28 February 2024 – arkona technologies GmbH, will have a substantial presence during the upcoming METexpo 2024 in Sydney, Australia from 5 – 7 March.  The provider of IP core infrastructure solutions for top-tier broadcast productions will be in Magna Systems & Engineering’s Stands 46 – 49 in the Kensington Room at Royal Randwick Racecourse conducting demonstrations of its innovative BLADE//runner core infrastructure solution and manifold CLOUD – a live production cloud solution from manifold technologies.

Erling Hedkvist, sales & business development for arkona, will be on hand in Magna’s Booths to demonstrate BLADE//runner and answer questions about it’s benefits and potential to change the dynamic of live production.  Designed for Tier-1 live broadcast where agility and scalability are essential, BLADE//runner provides a wide variety of tools including audio/video routing, compression and processing.  BLADE//runner’s highly flexible and modular core allows for the creation and deletion of resources and functions on-the-fly. Control is accomplished by an open API as well as through NMOS IS-04/-05.

Hedkvist will also be available to demonstrate manifold CLOUD for arkona’s technology partner, manifold technologies.  manifold CLOUD provides users with access to an on-demand pool of configurable live production functionality through a single-sign-on web UI. It’s capable of handling the most demanding live sports, entertainment and news productions while providing the benefits of scalability, resiliency, quick deployment, and unified control.

“It’s important to us to not only innovate with groundbreaking solutions that help move the broadcast industry forward, but also to be able to demonstrate and share these innovations with our customers around the world,” adds Hedkvist. “We truly value our customers in the Australia and Asia Pacific region and feel there’s no better way to show our support than to spend time with them on Magna’s stand and offer best-of-breed solutions that will save them considerable time and significant money.”

In addition, Hedkvist will present a paper titled A Promising Technology Innovation for Tier-1 Live Broadcast Productions on Thursday, 7 March at 2PM in the Breakout Room. The session will explore the rise of COTS FPGA PACs, delving into their benefits over traditional GPU and CPU architectures for specialized industries such as Tier-1 Live Broadcast Productions.

“I’m excited to discuss the benefits of Commercially Available Off the Shelf (COTS) FPGA Programmable Acceleration Cards (PACs) during a special technology presentation,” explains Hedkvist. “These latest generation compute acceleration cards have already gained immense popularity and now are poised to change the Broadcast & Media industry as we know it.”
